The Super Pulse dramatically increases the pulse damage and radius but adds a long fixed cooldown (something like 3-5 seconds of cooldown).

The Directional Pulse eliminates the 360-degree element of the weapon in exchange for increased range in the direction the ship is pointed. The pulse covers between 45-90 degrees of the direction. Pulse damage and shards remain the same.
